Measuring a spa cover is tricky business. Here we’ll try take the risks out of miss-measuring. We will tell you what needs to be measured and how to best measure it.

(1) The first two primary measurement we need is the length and width. Oversize these measurements if not sure. Here’s how

(2) Second is the type of corners– rounded, cut or square. Undersize these measurements if not sure. Here’s how...

(3) The skirt or vinyl flap that hangs down the side of the lip of the hot tub. By default if not specified, it will be 2”. This covers the acrylic, protecting it from the sun and wind. It also creates a nice finish to the cover. Try measure within a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of actual skirt required. In other words round up or down, your choice. Here’s how

(4) Any additional measurements that are relevant to your cover. These measurements require complete accuracy of not only these measurements, but all measurements. As the exact location of these are based on your other measurements Pockets in the underside of the cover to accommodate buttons or knobs (usually older spas), Extruding water features, length of locking tie downs if not default.

(5) Specify the direction of the hinge, by default the longest measurement either length or width is cut in half. See what I mean
